The Construction Cup started as a small and
friendly charity tournament in 2011.

Since the initial kick‐off on a cold January day in Oxford, the event has grown over the space of six years to become one of the biggest tournaments in the industry.

Organised by the international design and technology practice IBI Group and founded by architect, Stuart Ward, the event has brought together 136 companies to raise over £30,000 for various charities.

We were assisted by 40 teams who helped raise money for the Construction Youth Trust for a third year. These funds totalled £5,329.

Moving to a much warmer date, in 2012 the event also evolved in another way — with a Wembley tournament taking place concurrently with the Oxford version. We had 23 teams in total, and chose to support The British Heart Foundation, Sobell House Hospice, and Macmillan; who shared a total of £2,900.
